What are nano beads extensions?
Nano-rings hair extensions, also known as nano beads or nano tips extensions, are a type of hair extension method where small strands of extension hair are attached to your natural hair using tiny rings or beads. These extensions are known for their discreet and comfortable application. Nano-rings are significantly smaller than traditional micro-rings, making them 90% smaller than a standard micro bead. They are attached to small sections of your natural hair using tiny, silicone-lined rings, which help protect your hair and keep the extension in place. These extensions are ideal for those with fine or thin hair due to their lightweight and less visible nature.
How to apply nano beads extensions?
-
Section Your Hair: Begin by sectioning your hair. Start from the bottom and work your way up, leaving out a thin section of hair where the extensions will be applied.
-
Thread the Hair: Take a small section of your natural hair and thread it through the nano-ring using a special tool.
-
Attach the Extension: Insert the tip of the nano-ring extension into the ring alongside your natural hair.
-
Secure the Ring: Using pliers, the ring is then clamped shut, securing the extension in place close to your scalp. This should be done carefully to ensure it's not too tight, which could cause discomfort or damage.
-
Repeat the Process: Continue this process throughout the head, ensuring even distribution for a natural look.
-
Blend and Style: After all the extensions are in place, they can be cut and styled to blend seamlessly with your natural hair.
Nano-rings extensions are popular for their discreet nature and the comfort they provide. They do not require heat or glue for application, making them a safer option for hair health. Due to the precision required in their application, it's generally recommended to have them applied by a professional hairstylist.

- When in the shower, be sure the pressure of the water doesn't pull on the extensions
- When styling your nano-rings extensions, always apply a heat protectant spray first. Heat protectants will protect the outer layer of your hair extensions & therefore minimize heat damage.
- Go through your hair vertically while applying shampoo. Never scrub the beads.
- At bedtime, braid hair into two side braids or in a larger one to prevent tangling and matting at the root area. Use a satin pillow to also prevent tangling.
Here's what you shouldn't do:
- Do not wash your hair until 48 hours after the extensions have been installed.
- Do not apply shampoo directly at the beads and never apply conditioner on the beads. Never apply oils and serums to the roots of your extensions, only use oils and serums at the midshaft and ends.

- Never fall sleep on wet hair extensions. Make sure the hair and beads are dry before bedtime to avoid matting.
- Don't use heat styling tools on your extensions unless necessary, and if you have to, be sure you're using the lowest temperature possible.
- Do not tie your hair too tightly, as this can pull on the hair extensions and may eventually cause them to fall or slip away.
- Avoid salt water and chlorine water, you're better off avoid swimming altogether. But if you're going to be swimming with your extensions, always wear a swim cap.
